CarrierScope
Legal

Acceptable use & FCRA notice

CarrierScope provides informational risk tools to help businesses make their own decisions. It is not a consumer reporting agency, and its scores are not consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. See the Terms and Privacy Policy.

Two rules under every screen

Sourced, not asserted. FMCSA data is public, the documents are yours, and each extracted fact points back to where it came from. A score no one can trace is a score no one should act on.

The carrier is a party, not a target. The record an agency reads is the record a carrier can read, question, and improve. Public safety data is known to carry errors and to lag real fixes; giving carriers a clear view and a way to act on it is simply the honest thing to do.

Not a consumer reporting agency

CarrierScope is not a "consumer reporting agency," and the Service and its scores and reports are not "consumer reports" or "investigative consumer reports," under the FCRA or any similar law. The Service does not provide legal, insurance, underwriting, tax, accounting, or financial advice, and nothing in it creates any fiduciary or advisory relationship.

How to dispute public data

To dispute the accuracy of public FMCSA data shown in the Service, use the FMCSA’s official DataQs process at dataqs.fmcsa.dot.gov. We show public data as sourced and can re-pull a carrier’s record after an official correction.
